Thank you for two years of Pocket Fiction

I started Pocket Fiction two years ago for fun, and it has been a lot of fun making episodes. I feel like I've learned a lot about how to present fiction for audio, about how valuable good music can be, and how important it is to read my work out loud as an editing process.

However, after two years of back-to-back Friday releases, I've decided to bring Pocket Fiction to an end. I'm choosing to focus more on my novel, which is in the editing stages, than on this podcast. Rather than drift away from it slowly, or allow it to tail off, I wanted to bring Pocket Fiction to a definitive end, and the two-year anniversary seems like the ideal time to do that.

I'd like to thank a few people. First and foremost, my wife, Susan; she's the fresh pair of ears that listened to every episode before it went online, listening for any mistakes or general problems. Any errors that came out in the final product after that are mine, of course.

Pocket Fiction would be a lot quieter without the work of Kevin MacLeod, whose royalty-free music represents an incredible resource. I often hear other podcasts using pieces of Incompetech music that I've either used or considered using, and it never fails to make me smile.

The guest authors whose work I used: Jacob Trahan, Andrea L Staum, Andrew Knighton, Rie Sheridan Rose, Elle Rutter, and Amy Braun. Thank you to each and every one of them. Those links will take you to the episode they guest-wrote, and from there I highly encourage you to follow links to their own work.

Finally, thanks to you, listener, for hanging in there. Whether you're a long-time listener or someone who's just getting into it, I'd love to hear from you. You can use the email form on my website, or simply click here.
