“I was hoping you’d join me for dinner on Thursday, old chap,” he said. “Seven o’clock, my place, with a few other friends of the family. Also, I suppose I should probably mention that I’ve been hired to kill you...”
A short story by Jacob Trahan. A man is invited to a dinner party by an old friend, but with a twist: his host has been hired to kill him, and makes no secret of the fact. Has his luck finally run out?
I was fortunate enough to read Jacob's work on his Tumblr, which you can find at jtrahan.tumblr.com, and the result is this episode of Pocket Fiction. Often his stories have a twist in them that makes me chuckle, and I highly recommend you go and check his writing out.
As always, I would love to collaborate with you! If you have short fiction that you would like me to include as a standalone episode of Pocket Fiction, drop me a line!
Each track is also available as a podcast through the iTunes store.
